Yoga, has offered many benefits for all those who participate...but did ya know that it's also great for kids. You're never too young to learn. Here's what we've learned by bending it this way and that for the little ones:
1. Cultivates self-esteem and body awareness
2. Self health
3. Inner fulfillment
4. Enhances their flexibility,
5. Their concentration and sense of calmness and relaxation improve
So, why not try it at home or at a local yoga center near you. We like Bend & Bloom (http://bendandbloom.com/), right here in Brooklyn, where they offer classes allowing the teeny one to imagine and experience the qualities of the wise, old tree; the confidence of a lion; the grace of the wind...so cool right?!?! So get downward dog with your little one & Play Nice!
